About
How this directory is put together
Fifty tools across nine jobs, one rule throughout: every price and limit is read from the vendor's own page, and the tradeoff gets said out loud.
Prices last read 26 October 2026
How a tool gets in
A tool has to earn its place against the other tools doing the same work.
- It does one of the nine jobs end to end, not a feature of a bigger product.
- One person or a small team can buy it and use it without an enterprise contract.
- The vendor publishes its own pricing, so the number on this site has a source.
- A public demo video exists that shows the product working, not only a launch trailer.
- It competes directly with the other four or five tools in its category, so the comparison means something.
A tool that stops meeting these rules is removed rather than left to rot.
How prices are read
Each listing carries the date its price was last read from the vendor page.
The entry price is the cheapest paid plan the vendor names publicly, in the currency and billing period the vendor states: monthly, annual, per seat, or per thousand characters.
Where a vendor publishes no monthly figure at all, the listing says so instead of converting credits into a made-up number. Where a free plan exists, the listing says free tier and states the limit when the vendor states one.
Nothing here is estimated, averaged, or rounded to look cleaner than the vendor's own page.
Pricing fields, defined
- Entry price
- The cheapest paid plan with a public price.
- Model
- Free, Freemium or Paid, as sold.
- Cost
- The vendor's own plan text, paraphrased.
- Checked
- The date that price was read.
Money, links and rankings
No outbound link on this site carries a tracking code today. That is stated here rather than in small print.
If you start a paid plan after following an affiliate link, The AI Shelf may earn a commission from that vendor. You pay the same price as buying directly, because commissions come out of the vendor's margin.
A commission never changes three things: the price printed on a listing, the order tools appear in, and whether a tool is included at all. Tools inside a category sit in a fixed order that did not consider who pays a commission, and a tool with no affiliate programme sits next to one that has.
No vendor pays to be listed, to be ranked higher, or to have a limit left out. Where a vendor has no programme, the outbound link is a plain link.
Where a listing carries no tracking link yet, that is because the programme needs the site owner's own entity, tax or payout details before it can be joined. Those applications are pending, and no tracking link is invented in the meantime. Until a programme approves this site, every outbound link goes to the vendor's own page with no tracking parameter attached.
What is never published here
No star ratings, no review scores, no review counts and no traffic estimates. None of those can be checked from a vendor's own pages, so a directory that prints them is guessing. What is printed is what a vendor says about price, plan structure, limits, platforms and audience, plus where the product falls short for a specific job.
Corrections and contact
If a price, a limit or a link is wrong, say which one and where you saw it.
Email [email protected] with the tool name, the listing, and what the vendor's page says today. Corrections are re-read from the vendor page before anything changes.
To suggest a tool, send its name, the vendor's pricing page and one public demo video. It is judged against the five rules above, and offering to pay does not help.
